Our client a large organisation requires a mature, reliable and energetic person to join the Engineering Dept as a Procurement Clerk

Duties will include:

• Raising and finalising requests for quotes (RFQs);
• Sourcing new suppliers to find better rates and/or products;
• Assisting in reviewing quotations collected, by checking for specifications, prices and costs to be incurred,
delivery periods and availability;
• Comparing prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential
suppliers;
• Tracking statuses of requisitions and orders;
• Work with internal stakeholders to determine and finalise procurement needs, quality and delivery
requirements;
• Creating and placing purchase orders as required;
• Chasing, monitoring and evaluating deliveries to ensure that suppliers keep up with delivery dates/times and
to ensure that the delivery is carried out as agreed and without any damages, faults, etc…;
• Monitoring delivery times to ensure SLAs are met;
• Performing data analysis to identify cost saving measures;
• Receive and review invoices in the Stock Management System;
• Perform any other day to day administrative duties as required from time to time;
• Carry out duties assigned by the Manager.

Requirements:
• Ordinary level of education;
• Knowledge on principles of procurement and sourcing;
• 1 year working experience in a similar role;
• Preferably have an ECDL qualification;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Good communication, negotiating, time-management and administrative skills;
• Flexible and willing to learn.
