Cargo Insurance Assessor

A bright person (min A’ Level standard) with good written and verbal communication skills is required for this position working for a group of companies who’s main interest is shipping and logistics

As each case you will handle will be different, you will need to be inquisitive, a quick learner with an eye for detail and have the ability to assess how, why and when a damage occurred.

Duties will include : dealing with third parties and clients, receiving a cargo insurance claim, physically going to inspect / survey the cargo either at the port, onboard the ship or at the clients premises.  Preparing a report on your findings including calculating the extent of the damage,  (what can be salvaged and what is a total write off, how the good were packed and in what and how the damages occurred)
